Pup-etts Children's Story

Woot! If You Love Jesus

Children come up front and are seated on the floor in front of the stage.
The Pup-etts hide in the flowers on the stage so that they cannot be seen. 
 Penelope sticks her head up out of the flowers and looks in astonishment at the children
                                           
She pops her head back behind the flowers and shouts "They're here! They're hear!"
 Darius mumbles "They can't be hear. It's not that time yet."
 Mrs. Periwinkle (Winky) pops her head up out of the flowers and with a look of great surprise says to Darius.
.
"They are! They are here! The children are waiting for us."
.
Darius mumbles "Glory! What are we going to talk about?"
.
Winky says "let's talk about last weeks sermon."   
     
Penelope keeps poking her head up and looking at the children then pops back down again
.
Darius "I didn't like the sermon last week. I think it stank."
.
Winky "Why Darius Dragon-ette, It was a wonderful sermon. I Love, Love, Loved it! You didn't enjoy it because you slept though the whole thing."
.
       Darius "Stinks. Stinks stinks stinks."
.
Penelope "I really enjoyed the sermon. It makes me want to stop being a bad girl and start loving Jesus."
.
Darius and Winky pop their heads out of the flowers with shocked looks on their faces
.
 
Darius "You liked the sermon, And it makes you want stop doing all those bad things?"
.
Winky "Oh that's wonderful! That's so wonderful!        
.
Penelope "Dad! if you would just listen to the sermon you would receive a blessing too."
.
Darius "Well, if it makes you want to love Jesus, Guess I'll try to do a better job of staying awake and listen to what Pastor Paul has to say too."
.
Winky "I just love Pastor Paul. I love love love him and I love love love his sermons."
.
         Darius "Love love love, all you talk about is love."
.
Winky "I'm just so full of love, it just burst out of me!" "you don't complain about love when it's smoocheroo time."
.
Darius perking up and looking excited
.
"Smoocheroos Oh boy! I just love Smoocheroos."
Penelope "I love Jesus. Don't you love Jesus?"         
.
Darius "I love Jesus too." "I love love love Jesus."
.
Winkie "Jesus my Hero. I love Him love Him love Him." "He's wonderful."
Winkie turns to the children "Do you love Jesus? Raise your hands if you love Jesus."
.
(Children raise their hands)
.
.
Winkie turns and looks at Darius "Why Darius Dragon-ette!" You didn't raise your hand. Don't you love Jesus?
.
Darius "You didn't raise your hand either." "Pup-etts don't have hands."
He looks down kind of sorrowful. 
.
Penelope "Let's point our nose up in the air like we are looking into heaven at Jesus ready to give us a big hug to show we love Jesus"
 
Winkie "That's a wonderful idea." She looks at the children and says "Point your nose up in the air if you love Jesus." 
.
.
All three Pup-etts point their noses in the air and the children follow their example.
.
Penelope "Woot Woot! We all love Jesus. Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus. Woot Woot I love Jesus.
.
Darius and Winky join in and together they repeat Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus. Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus. 
All three Pup-etts look out at the children and say
.
"Point your noses in the air and say Woot Woot if you love Jesus."
.
The children join in and soon they are all pointing their noses in the air and saying Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus. Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus.
.
Winky says to the children
.
"Turn around and tell your moms and dads to point their noses in the air and say  Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus. Woot! Woot! I Love Jesus.
.
  Penelope keeps Wooting in the background. 
.
Darius "Come on moms and dads. Show your children how much you love Jesus."
.
Some parents and church members join in the Wooting. 
.
Penelope "Dad some people out there aren't Wooting." "Don't they love Jesus?"
.
Darius "Some people probably think that it is wrong to praise Jesus in the Church."
.
Penelope looks out at the audience
.
"Come on people. Let's all praise Jesus."
.
And all three Pup-etts and the Children along with church members point their noses in the air and everyone starts praising Jesus.
"Woot! Woot! we Love Jesus. Woot! Woot! we Love Jesus."
.
Penelope "WooHoo! WooHoo! WooHoo! Everybody Loves Jesus! Everybody Loves Jesus!
.
When the Wooting subsides Winkie says to the children.
.
"OK children. You can go back and sit with your parents. And remember to praise God every day and let Him know how much you love Jesus. And listen to the sermon and you too will get a blessing
